Welcome to Beats, a Discord bot offering high-quality music streaming and related features for communities on Discord. By using or inviting Beats (the "Bot"), you ("User", "you") agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). Please read them carefully.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the Bot.

1. Eligibility

By using the Bot, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required by your country's laws and Discord's Terms).
  • You have the authority to manage bots within the Discord server you are using the Bot in.
  • Your use complies with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

2. Description of Services

Beats provides the following services to Discord servers:

  • Music Playback: Stream audio from sources such as YouTube, SoundCloud, Spotify (where applicable), and direct audio links.
  • Playlist Management: Create, save, and play custom playlists.
  • Audio Controls: Use commands for volume control, bass boost, equalizer presets, and playback filters.
  • Auto DJ: Automatically queue and play music based on server preferences.
  • 24/7 Mode (optional): Keep the bot online in a voice channel.
  • Server Customization: Set server-specific prefixes, DJ roles, and default channels.
  • Language Settings: Customize the bot's language using the /language command.
  • Premium Features (if applicable): Extra commands, higher-quality streaming, or reduced cooldowns may be offered via subscription or donation tiers.

3. Data Collection and Privacy

To operate effectively and improve the Bot, we collect the following non-personal data:

3.1 Collected Data

  • Server ID and Channel ID: To identify which server and channels use the Bot.
  • User ID (for settings): For preferences such as volume level or playlists.
  • Command Logs: For analytics and debugging (e.g., usage patterns, error reporting).
  • Settings & Preferences: Custom settings such as prefixes, DJ roles, or 24/7 mode configurations.
  • Voice Channel Status: To manage connection and playback functionality.

3.2 Data Usage

  • Improve and maintain the Bot's performance and uptime.
  • Analyze feature usage to develop new functionality.
  • Store custom server configurations.

3.3 Data Storage & Security

  • All data is securely stored and encrypted (where applicable).
  • We do not collect any sensitive personal data (such as emails, passwords, or payment info directly).

3.4 Data Retention and Removal

  • Data is retained for as long as necessary for Bot operation.
  • Server owners may request data deletion via our support contact (see Section 9).

3.5 Language Settings Data

  • User language preferences when using the /language command.
  • This data is used to provide localized bot responses for a better user experience.

4. Premium Services (Optional)

Some features may be offered through a subscription or donation-based premium model:

  • Higher bitrate streaming
  • Faster queue speeds
  • Priority support
  • Additional filters and playlist slots

Payments, if collected, are handled through third-party platforms such as Patreon or Ko-fi and are governed by those platforms' Terms.

5. User Responsibilities

By using Beats, you agree that you will not:

  • Use the Bot to violate copyright or licensing laws (e.g., playing copyrighted content without proper authorization).
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, tamper with, or exploit the Bot.
  • Abuse the service (e.g., spamming commands, causing resource overload).
  • Distribute malware or links that harm the Bot's operation or Discord users.
  • Misuse the DJ or channel management commands to disrupt server functionality.
  • Share your premium account (if applicable) across multiple servers beyond allowed limits.

6. Availability and Modifications

We strive to ensure uninterrupted service, but:

  • The Bot may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance or technical issues.
  • We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any features without prior notice.
  • New features or updates may be subject to new Terms.

7. Termination of Service

We reserve the right to:

  • Deny access to the Bot at any time for violating these Terms.
  • Remove the Bot from a server if it is used for spam, abuse, or illegal activity.
  • Suspend accounts or servers found misusing premium services.

8. Limitation of Liability

Beats is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

  • Loss of data or server disruptions caused by the Bot.
  • Copyright violations caused by user content.
  • Any damages arising from reliance on the Bot's performance or availability.
  • Consequences of DJ role or channel management settings made through the Bot.

Use of the Bot is at your own risk.
